All applicants to the Research Methods, Measurement & Evaluation (RMME) Master’s Degree program must hold a Baccalaureate degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university before matriculating at the University of Connecticut.

To apply for admission to the Master of Research Methods, Measurement, and Evaluation (RMME) program, complete UConn’s Graduate School Application for admission. When completing the online application form, under the Intended Program tab:

• Select Education
• Select Educational Psychology MA in the Program field
• Select Research Methods Measurement and Evaluation-MA in the Concentration field

Remember to complete all fields marked with a red asterisk (*) on the application

NOTE: GRE scores are NOT required for Master’s Degree program applicants.

RMME Application Instructions

Applications will be evaluated upon receipt of all required documentation:

• A personal statement describing your reasons for applying, how you plan to use this degree in the future, and any formal or informal experiences that you feel are relevant to the RMME Master’s Degree program (uploaded via the online application system)
• Three Letters of Reference from individuals who can address the applicant's potential for success (via the online application system). For those that have been in the workforce for an extended period of time, these letters may be from peers/colleagues, supervisors/administrators, or other working professionals (uploaded via the online application system)
• Current resume or CV (uploaded via the online application system)
• Unofficial transcript(s) for all prior undergraduate and graduate coursework (uploaded via the online application system)
• GPA (Successful candidates normally have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA)
• TOEFL (If you use the results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), students must have a minimum overall score of 550 for the paper-based test or 79 for the internet-based test)
• A non-refundable $75 application fee
• After you apply, are admitted, and accept an offer of admission, please send The Graduate School your Official Transcript(s) in one envelope to the address listed below. Or, if your school(s) offer an electronic transcript service email them to gradadmissions@uconn.edu. Please note that official transcripts for previous educational experiences at UConn are not required.

For Current UConn Students:

As a current UConn graduate student, you will want to apply to the Program Evaluation Certificate program to formally earn the credential and have it listed on your transcript. Here are the steps that you will need to follow:

1. Complete an online application through UConn’s Graduate School (https://grad.uconn.edu/admissions/apply-to-uconn/). 
2. Upload:
   • A current resume or CV.
   • A personal statement that describes your interest in pursuing this credential; your ultimate plans; and any formal or informal experiences you have had in the field (including positive/informative experiences in any Research Methods, Measurement, & Evaluation [RMME] courses you may already have taken).
   • Your current unofficial UConn transcript. (You do not need to send official transcripts afterwards, as the Graduate School already has those on file.)
3. For recommendations, you have two options:
   If you originally applied to UConn using the Slate application system (most common for newer graduate students) and want to re-use the letters of recommendation you provided to get into your current graduate program, submit the names of the recommenders, and mark them as OFFLINE. If you are not sure whether you applied in the Slate system, let me know, and I can find out for you. (Recommended)

   OR

   If you want to obtain NEW letters of recommendation, you will need to provide (in the application system) the names of those individuals who will be writing on your behalf.6.If you originally applied to UConn using the Slate system, the official academic transcripts from your prior educational institutions should transition into this new application.

4. Clicking the "Submit" button should send your application materials without any additional application fees if you are currently a matriculated UConn student.
