Adult Gerontology Primary Care Master's Degree

Graduates are prepared as advance practice nurses to assess, diagnose, monitor, treat, and coordinate care of individuals across the lifespan with common acute and chronic conditions. The focus of the specialty is on the delivery of routine primary care to the individual, including health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management activities to support a healthy life.

Graduates of this concentration are prepared for eligibility for the AGNP Primary Care certification examination through an approved national organization accepted by the Board of Registration in Nursing. Graduates can also apply to practice in their expanded role in Connecticut or other states based on regulatory guidelines.
